If you’re bothered by excess fatty tissue under your jawline, known as a double chin, you aren’t alone. But that doesn’t mean you have to put up with it. There’s a treatment available, and it doesn’t involve surgery.
Samuel Pruden II, MD, FACS, FAAD provides exceptional dermatologic and aesthetic services at his practice, SkinMD, in Lexington, Kentucky. His patients receive dedicated time and attention whether they need help with acne, they’re receiving advanced laser treatment with the Icon® Aesthetic system, or they require Dr. Pruden’s expertise in Mohs micrographic surgery for complex cases of skin cancer.
Dr. Pruden is a Kentucky native and a Summa Cum Laude graduate of the University of Louisville School of Medicine. He completed a year of surgery internship at the University of Tennessee in Memphis, before finishing four years of residency training in Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Kentucky. After graduating, Dr. Pruden became board certified in two specialties, Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery and Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
Over time, Dr. Pruden took a particular interest in skin cancer, which led him to spend three years at St. Louis University completing a second residency in dermatology. After this residency, he finished an additional year of dermatopathology fellowship training at Washington University in St. Louis. After graduating from these programs, Dr. Pruden went on to become board certified in Dermatology and Dermatopathology.
As a result of his years of advanced training, Dr. Pruden offers his patients the type of insight that would only be available from a team of specialists.
When he’s not helping patients, Dr. Pruden enjoys spending time with his family.
